Showbiz journalist Roger Kasper, former deputy editor of OK! and Hello! magazines, has launched the website to fill a gap in UK online entertainment news.
Mr Kasper, who most recently worked for Reveal magazine, said that consumers and showbiz journalists have had to trawl a large number of sites to get a full complement of music, TV and celebrity coverage. "Everyone's doing a bit of showbiz, but we think our unique selling point will be that no one else in the UK is doing that comprehensively. We want people to see us as a bible for TV, music and showbiz, to be the influential industry source." Mr Kasper said.
The site's modest financial targets could be achieved in as little as six months, said Mr Kasper.
"Working online was a bit of departure for me, but the beauty of it is that I can write a story, put a picture with it and have online in 30 seconds," he said.

"The other day my story was up 20 minutes after I'd finished the interview. That's pretty exciting stuff."
The site includes a bespoke news system with editor approval functionality and reader comments. Integrated video content, forums and celebrity blogs are all part of the experience with a daily radio feature is also being developed around a chat format.
The site with be using traditional marketing and PR to push the awareness whilst also having a MySpace profile with many celebrity members.
The site is focused to generate traffic and to make revenue through targeted advertising and subscription services.
With the target audience being women aged 18-34 now being the most active demographic group online, making up 18 per cent of the total number of UK net users, according to a subsidiary of market researcher ACNielsen.
In addition, women in that age bracket take up a fifth of all time spent on computers in the UK and with all the PR and journalist links we are sure the site is going to be a huge success.
